Hong Kong permanent residents are required to register for the Macao automated passenger clearance service before registering their iris biometrics for immigration clearance. If you are a Hong Kong permanent resident who has not yet registered for the Macao automated passenger clearance service, it is recommended that you:

Complete registration in Hong Kong in advance at designated registration points within the relevant Hong Kong control points, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Control Point and all Registration of Persons Offices;

OR upon arrival in Macao, go to designated registration points at relevant border checkpoints or Immigration Building of the Public Security Police Force at Pac On. After completing registration for automated clearance, you can then register your iris biometrics when you use the “iris automated channel” equipped with the registration function for the first time. After fingerprint verification during this clearance, you can register your iris biometrics and complete the clearance formalities. Minors aged 11 to 17 who are Hong Kong permanent residents and have not yet registered for the Macao automated passenger clearance service, they may, upon arrival in Macau, go to designated registration points at the relevant border checkpoints to complete both the manual registration for the Macao automated passenger clearance service and manual registration of their iris biometrics for immigration clearance at the same time.
