Question:
At which ports in Macao are the traditional two-gate e-Channels installed? Who are eligible to use them? What documents are required for registration for the e-Channel service?
Answer:
Currently, the traditional two-gate e-channels are installed at the Border Gate Checkpoint, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Checkpoint (Hong Kong-Macao Passenger Clearance Hall), the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal Checkpoint, the Inner Harbour Ferry Terminal Checkpoint, the Taipa Ferry Terminal Checkpoint and the Airport Checkpoint.
Eligible Users Requirements Necessary Documents for e-Channel Registration
  Macao residents
(aged 7 or above and 1.2 metres or above in height)
  Holding a Macao Permanent Resident Identity Card or a Macao Non-permanent Resident Identity Card
  No registration is required for using the traditional two-gate e-Channels in Macao.
  Mainland residents
(aged 7 or above and 1.2 metres or above in height)
  Holding a Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao
  No registration is required for using the traditional two-gate e-Channels in Macao, provided that authorization has been given during application for the e-Permit to the Hong Kong and Macao authorities to use the biometric data for automated clearance.
  Holding an e-Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao for Official Purposes
  Holding a Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao, and in possession of Authorization to Stay as Worker, Special Authorization to Stay for Family Members of Non-resident Workers or Special Authorization to Stay for Non-resident Students
  Holding a Special Stay Permit
  Valid Special Stay Permit and valid Permit or e-Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao for Official Purposes
  Hong Kong residents
(aged 11 or above and 1.2 metres or above in height)
  Holding a Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card or a Hong Kong Identity Card bearing “*”、“***” or “R” symbol
  Valid identification document
  Holding a valid HKSAR Document of Identity for Visa Purposes
  HKSAR Document of Identity for Visa Purposes valid for over 90 days and valid Hong Kong Identity Card
  Taiwan residents
(aged 7 or above and 1.2 metres or above in height)
  Holding a Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents
  Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents valid for over 90 days and identification document or travel document of other regions (if any)
  Holding a travel document of the Region of Taiwan and in possession of Authorization to Stay as Worker, Special Authorization to Stay for Family Members of Non-resident Workers or Special Authorization to Stay for Non-resident Students
  Travel document of the Region of Taiwan valid for over 90 days and Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents or Slip of Authorization to Stay (if any), and Non-resident Worker’s Identification Card or Revenue Receipt issued in the application for Non-resident Worker’s Identification Card for non-resident workers
  Foreigners
(aged 7 or above and 1.2 metres or above in height)
  Holding an Australian, Korean, Portuguese, Singaporean, Brazilian or German passport
  Relevant passport valid for over 90 days
  Holding a foreign passport (in possession of a Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card of the PRC) and nationals of countries exempted by the Chief Executive as announced in the Gazette

  Holding a foreign passport and in possession of Non-resident Worker’s Authorization to Stay, Special Authorization to Stay for Family Members of Non-resident Workers or Special Authorization to Stay for Non-resident Students
  Passport used in application for Special Authorization to Stay and valid for over 90 days and Slip of Authorization to Stay, and Non-resident Worker’s Identification Card or Revenue Receipt issued in the application for Non-resident Worker’s Identification Card for non-resident workers

Other Points to Note:
1.
Minors aged 7 to 17 are required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian when registering for the automated passenger clearance service. They should produce the birth certificate of the enrollee and the identification document of the accompanying parent or guardian (If accompanied by a guardian, the proof of legal relationship should also be provided).
2.
The right to use the automated channels for immigration clearance will be suspended in the 7 days before the Authorization to Stay as Worker and the Special Authorization to Stay for Family Members of Non-resident Workers expire. The right will be resumed on the next day after the relevant Special Authorization to Stay is renewed.
