Question:
I plan to employ a non-resident worker. Does the worker need to submit a Certificate of Criminal Record when making the application?
Answer:
According to the current regulation, Vietnamese citizens are required to submit a Certificate of Criminal Record issued by the competent authorities of Vietnam when they apply for Authorization to Stay as Worker for the first time or reapply for it after a certain period of time. As for persons of other nationalities, they may be requested by the Public Security Police Force to provide a Certificate of Criminal Record issued by their country when they apply for the Authorization.
