Question:
Am I eligible to get a Macao Resident Identity Card after working in Macao for 7 years with a Non-resident Worker’s Identification Card?
Answer:
According to the law, holders of a “Non-resident Worker’s Identification Card” are considered to be ‘staying’ in Macao instead of ‘residing’ while they are working in Macao as a non-resident worker. Therefore, even though you have worked in Macao for 7 years, you will not be issued a Macao Resident Identity Card.
