Question:
Is re-registration necessary for the “Smart Immigration Clearance” available for the One-stop Joint Services Lanes after a user has renewed his identity document or entry-endorsement?
Answer:
Upon the renewal of identity document or entry-endorsement, holders of the Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents or Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents must re-present their identity document to the aforementioned kiosk and undergo re-registration for the “Smart Immigration Clearance” in order to use the One-stop Joint Services Lanes.
