Holders of a Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao and holders of a Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents are required to place their identity document at the first gate of the joint inspection automated channels and register for the Smart Immigration Clearance service again after they replace their identity document or renew their endorsement.
