Question:
When using the “iris automated channel”, can I refuse to register my iris biometrics?
Answer:
Yes, they can. If passengers do not want to register their iris biometrics when using the “iris automated channel” for immigration clearance, after fingerprint verification, they can choose “NOT AGREE” on the screen, the clearance formalities are complete and the gate will release. They may also check the light box indication at the automated channels. If they prefer not to register they iris biometrics, they may choose to go through immigration at the general automated channels or the “iris automated channels” that are not equipped with registration function.
