Who are eligible to use iris recognition for immigration clearance?
Answer:
The iris recognition for immigration clearance is applicable to Macao residents and Hong Kong permanent residents who are aged 7 or above and can use the automated immigration clearance service. Individuals who are aged 18 or above can register when they first use the “Iris Recognition” that includes the registration function. Those who are aged below 18 and are unable to register for “Iris Recognition” can go to the designated locations to register, through manual process, their iris biometrics for immigration clearance.
