Question:
May Non-resident Worker’s Identification Card be used for iris automated clearance?
Answer:
Given that non-resident workers who are Mainland residents can use Macao’s automated channels without additional registration—provided they have authorized the competent authorities of Macao to access their fingerprint information when applying for their Exit-entry Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao—Mainland residents may use the said Permit to undergo iris automated clearance. If the non-resident workers are Hong Kong residents, Taiwan residents, or foreign nationals, their Non-resident Worker’s Identification Card can be used as the document for iris automated clearance once they have completed registration for Macao’s automated immigration clearance.
