Question:
At which ports are the joint inspection automated channels (joint express inspection channels) installed? Who are eligible to use the channels?
Answer:
Currently, the Qingmao Port, the Hengqin Port and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Port (Zhuhai-Macao Passenger Clearance Hall) are installed with joint inspection automated channels (joint express inspection channels) for persons who are eligible to use them.

[Notes on Use of Channel]
These joint inspection automated channels are specially set up to streamline the document inspection procedures of both the Zhuhai/Hengqin and Macao immigration departments and to enhance immigration clearance efficiency. Passengers using these channels must give consent to have the personal information on their identification document and the biometric data collected on site transmitted to the inspection systems of Zhuhai/Hengqin and Macao respectively for instant comparison. If you have any questions, please make enquiries to the police constables on site.

[Notes on Immigration Clearance at Joint Inspection Automated Channels or One-stop Joint Services Lanes]
Passengers using the joint inspection automated channels or One-stop Joint Services Lanes can complete the immigration clearance of Zhuhai/Hengqin and Macao quickly by just lining up once, having their document read once and having their biometrics collected once. They should use the document required by the region of entry for immigration clearance. For example, Macao residents holding a Macao Resident Identity Card and a Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents (including non-Chinese citizens) should use their Mainland Travel Permit when travelling to Zhuhai/Hengqin and use their Macao Resident Identity Card when returning to Macao. Mainland residents holding a Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao should use the Permit when traveling to and from Macao and Hengqin.

[Other Points to Note]
