Locations of Registration |

Macao permanent residents can use the self-service kiosks of the Macao Identification Services Bureau (see the image below for the locations of the kiosks) for registration (only applicable to eligible Macao Permanent Resident Identity Card holders aged 18 or above). The above persons can also use the ‘Macao Easy ID Service’ self-service kiosk at the Government Affairs Service Centre of the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin;

Go to the enrolment offices of the Hong Kong Immigration Department in person for registration. The Macao Permanent Resident Identity Card should be presented during registration. |

Passengers can use the Hong Kong e-Channel service for entry to and departure from Hong Kong 3 hours after successful registration at the self-service kiosks of the Identification Services Bureau or the ‘Macao Easy ID Service’ self-service kiosk. If registration is made at the e-Channel enrolment offices of the Hong Kong Immigration Department, passengers can use the Hong Kong e-Channel service 15 minutes after successful registration. |

Eligible Macao Permanent Resident Identity Card holders aged 11-17 should be accompanied by a parent or guardian to the e-Channel enrolment offices of the Hong Kong Immigration Department for registration and present the original of the following documents |

Identification document of the applicant and the accompanying parent or guardian; |
3.2 |
Birth certificate of the applicant (persons born in Macao are required to present a Certificate of Narrative of Birth Registration, which is used for the purpose of identity card application, or a ‘complete certified copy’, which records the birth registration, issued by the Macao Civil Affairs Registry); |
3.3 |
If accompanied by a guardian, a document proving the right to exercise parental authority or guardianship should also be presented (if the document is in Portuguese, a certified Chinese or English translation should be attached). |

According to the current immigration ordinance of the Hong Kong SAR, citizens of certain countries are required to obtain a visa in advance in order to be admitted to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Therefore, the above Macao Permanent Resident Identity Card holders should get the approval of the Hong Kong Immigration Department before they can enjoy the above facilitation. The Identification Services Bureau will send the relevant information to the Hong Kong Immigration Department for pre-examination and will notify the subject of the examination result. |
