Question:
If the system breaks down, can a person without his/her Resident Identity Card still undergo immigration clearance?
Answer:
Under normal circumstances, if a cross-border traveller is unable to present the valid “My border crossing” QR code, he/she is required to present his/her physical Macao SAR Resident Identity Card or other valid proof documents for immigration clearance.

When the immigration system breaks down, only the Macao SAR Resident Identity Card but not the “My border crossing” QR code can be used for immigration clearance.
