Answer:
Persons who are aged 7 or above and made the application for the Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents (the number of which starts with M) (including non-Chinese Citizens) with their Macao Resident Identity Card are eligible to use the joint inspection automated channels (joint automated inspection channels) after they register for the automated passenger clearance system of the Mainland.

Persons who are aged 7 or above, holding a Macao Resident Identity Card, and made the application for the Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents (the number of which starts with H) (including non-Chinese Citizens) with their Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card are eligible to use the joint inspection automated channels after they register for the automated passenger clearance system of the Mainland and also the automated passenger clearance system of Macao at the registration locations.
