Starting from 16 February 2015, Macao residents who lose their Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents (so-called Home Visit Permit) in Zhuhai do not have to apply for a report of loss of document at the local police station. Instead, they can go directly to the China Travel Investment Advisory Macao Limited in Zhuhai (Address: Glass Room No. 2 at the New Departure Hall of Gongbei Port) to apply for a one-off Exit-entry Permit. The office hours are from 09:00 to 17:00 (no lunch break, but applications are not accepted after 16:00, not closed even on Sundays and public holidays) For inquiry, please call 0086-15384343117 (Mainland) or 00853-66601117 (Macao).
Aside from the above way of departure, starting from 19 August 2016, if Macao residents below 7 and Macao residents who have registered for automated immigration clearance at the border checkpoints on the Mainland lose their travel document, they may go directly to the Supervision Platform at the Main Departure Hall of the Gongbei Port for the necessary procedures for returning to Macao in case of emergency. |

In Hong Kong (*not for criminal cases) |

Starting from 11 January 2016, Macao residents who lose their entry document (permanent identity card, passport or travel document) in Hong Kong and do not have any other document for departure may go directly to the Macao Ferry Terminal, the China Ferry Terminal or the Tuen Mun Ferry Terminal to complete the report of loss of document and departure clearance at the same time. If the Macao resident has registered for the Hong Kong automated passenger clearance service, the Hong Kong Immigration Department will, after obtaining the written consent of the person concerned, verify his or her identity through the system. The Macao resident’s identity does not have to be verified by the Macao authorities anymore. |
